Primary Responsibility
 

Strategic

  • Identify improvements in internal processes, technology, and service
  • Project planning; long-term efficiency improvements and streamlining of processes and technologies. Analysing risk/reward of any given strategic change
  • Understand how internal IT supports company objectives and visions. Maintain contact with other areas of the business, to understand how we can help them achieve their goals


Operational

  • Balance long-term strategic goals against the short/medium term requirements of BAU tasks; prioritise accordingly
  • Constant self-improvement; finding various methods of fixing any BAU-related issue
  • Sharing information, both in the form of documentation, and personal tutorials


Financial

  • Keep expenses to a minimum - identify opportunities for cost-saving without impacting internal customers' ability to perform their role

People

  • Teamwork

Skills and knowledge
 

Required:

  • Extensive client OS troubleshooting experience: Windows 7; Windows 10; Mac OS
  • Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Understanding of the 'modern workplace'
  • Excellent English language skills (verbal/written)
  • Excellent customer service; the ability to build rapport with internal customers; conveying technical information to non-technical customers
  • Managing time efficiently; prioritising workload according to importance
  • Constant desire to learn new methods, and technologies
  • Documentation & knowledge sharing
  • Basic scripting experience: Powershell; Command-Line
     

Desirable:

  • Office365 administration; Exchange; Skype for Business; OneDrive
  • Active Directory: Azure; On-premises (User & Computer management)
  • Network printing
  • Log analysis
  • OS Image creation and deployment via MDT
  • SCCM administration
  • Basic Windows Server administration
