There are many things to see and experience at Dreamforce next month: breakout sessions, A-List keynotes, after-parties… and food from one of the greatest culinary cities in the world. While your boss may not appreciate you taking time away from Dreamforce to explore all of San Francisco’s great restaurants, the good news is you don’t have to travel more than a few blocks outside Moscone Center to get a real taste of what makes this city so special. Here are a few of our favorites:
Lunch & Dinner
Zero Zero: Just a five-minute walk from Moscone, this spot offers some of the best pizzas, small plates, and cocktails the city has to offer. You can head over for a casual lunch at the bar or reserve a table for your team upstairs. The avocado bruschetta will be enough reason for you to book your ticket for Dreamforce next year.
Hillstone: Located in the heart of the Embarcadero, few do classic American fare better than Hillstone. Whether it’s the burger, the baby back ribs, or to-die-for key lime pie – it’s worth the short cab ride to check out this spot. Insider’s tip: corkage on the first two bottles of wine is complimentary.
Kokkari: Kokkari’s expansive, impressive interior design matches the quality of the Greek fare. Come hungry, rich dishes like Moussaka, Saghanaki, and Arnisio Souvlaki will leave you satiated through the next full day of Dreamforce sessions.
SPiN Ping Pong Social Club: Located 5 minutes from Moscone, it’s the best place to grab a beer, some food and play some ping pong after a long day. The NewVoiceMedia party this year is at SPiN, and it'll be THE place to be on Thursday night. Enjoy complimentary food and drink while our DJ plays slam after slam all night long. Sadly, space is limited, so register now.
MaSo: (Westin Hotel on 3rd) Right around the corner from Moscone is one of San Francisco’s few outdoor patio bars. Definitely worth a visit.
Anchor & Hope: While the dinner menu can lean toward the pricey side, you can enjoy the restaurant’s food at discounted prices between 4:30 and 6:00pm. Don’t miss the Angels on Horseback: bacon wrapped oysters. The renovated warehouse design provides one of San Francisco’s more unique atmospheres and is well-worth the 10 minute walk from Moscone.
Snacks & Coffee
NewVoiceMedia booth 1818: When you're go, go, go on the expo floor, staying energized is a top priority. For a quick charge, stop by the NewVoiceMedia booth where we'll be serving complimentary refreshments.
Blue Bottle Coffee: If there’s an “It” coffee in San Francisco, Blue Bottle Coffee is the one. When you have an hour break, enjoy the 20 minute walk down Mission Street to the historic Ferry Building (and its spectacular views) where Blue Bottle has one of its several outposts. Expect a line.
The Grove: A little closer to Moscone is The Grove, a high-end café offering breakfast, lunch and dinner – and great coffee. If you need to step away for some work, you’ll fit right in with all the downtowners on their laptops.
While these are some of our favorites, you’re bound to stumble upon a gem if you wander a few blocks in any direction from Moscone.
