Today, I am incredibly excited to announce that NewVoiceMedia has agreed to be acquired by Vonage.

What does this mean for our customers? If you are a customer, NewVoiceMedia will continue to be your Cloud Contact Centre partner. There will be no immediate changes. You can continue to rely on the NewVoiceMedia platform to serve your prospects and customers. 

While many people know Vonage for disrupting the consumer communications market with VoIP technology, Vonage has become a force in the cloud communications market for business over the last few years.  In less than five years, Vonage has completely transformed from a residential provider of VoIP, to become one of the largest and fastest-growing cloud communications providers to businesses. Vonage has built a broad portfolio of cloud communications solutions for unified communications, contact centre, and programmable embedded real-time communications, built on top of a global voice network.

Today, Vonage has a $3 billion market cap and almost 60% of Vonage’s $1+ billion in revenue comes from the business segment, and are laser focused on growth in this segment. The addition of NewVoiceMedia will further solidify Vonage’s leadership and growth opportunity in business communications. Vonage has over 2000 employees in offices around the world.

The strategic rationale for this combination is very strong. Businesses today are all moving to the cloud. They are doing that at their own pace based on their size and IT complexity, but they also approach this cloud transition differently. Some businesses approach their cloud transformation from an IT and Communication standpoint, others from a need to drive better Customer Relationships. Together with Vonage, we can now serve all businesses of any size globally to help them with their Employee and Customer Experience through a state-of-the art global cloud communication platform that is underpinned by carrier grade connectivity.
